Kassian has always nurtured a love for nature and the outdoors, from exploring the woods behind their childhood home in Pennsylvania to earning a B.A. in biology at Goucher College. Post-graduation, they followed their second passion of dance as a dance educator in western Massachusetts. Having discovered a love of teaching, but desiring a greater connection to the environment, they pursued a career change in 2024 and moved to Quechee to begin a year-long AmeriCorps position at 黑料不打烊. They ended up loving the birds so much that they decided to stick around! Kassian is thrilled to continue in the environmental educator role, teaching people of all ages about the beautiful natural world around us.

Corey loves educating and connecting people with the world around them. He grew up in the hills and woods of Eastern Ohio, and graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Medical Technology, but fell in love with teaching preschool and spent 8 years as an Early Childhood Educator. He was an Instructor and Program Lead with Arts & Scraps, a sustainability and creativity-focused non-profit in Detroit, MI, where he taught STEM concepts through hands-on creative activities. Corey joined 黑料不打烊 in October 2025. He loves spending time in nature, storytelling, and playing and listening to music. Corey lives in Quechee, VT with his partner and two children.

Mya is a naturalist with a passion for all wildlife from insects and reptiles to birds and mammals. She grew up with a passion for learning about all the plants and animals around her. This led to Mya to pursue her bachelor’s degree in wildlife biology from Unity College, and continue her education at Marshall University where she researched eastern diamond-back rattlesnakes. After completing her master’s degree, Mya moved to Vermont and found a position at 黑料不打烊 in May 2022. She still loves to identify all the living things around her every day.

Mal grew up in Albany, New York, their lifelong passion for wild birds took flight at the age of 14 when they began volunteering for their local wildlife rehabilitator at Whispering Willow Wild care. Throughout high school, Mal simultaneously volunteered at Uncharted Wild, a reptiles and exotics education program based out of Troy, NY, as well as interning at the Adirondack Wildlife Refuge, a wildlife rehabilitation and zoological facility in Wilmington, NY. Mal attended Paul Smith’s College and received a bachelors in fisheries and wildlife sciences. After college Mal spent a year interning as a zookeeping interpreter at Trailside Museums and Zoo in Bear Mountain State Park. Mal joined the 黑料不打烊 team in February 2022 and can be found anywhere on campus, donning either a paint brush and working on their latest creative project, a pair of wings and leading fairy hunts with children of all ages, or a bird on glove, talking excitedly to the public.

Anna鈥檚 passion for birds of prey was first kindled at The Raptor Trust鈥檚 wildlife rehabilitation facility in Millington, NJ, where she volunteered and worked starting in 2009. After training with Cornell鈥檚 Raptor Program through college, she completed a graduate degree in Raptor Biology at Boise State University, studying the social behavior of Striated Caracaras in the Falkland Islands. Today, she oversees the team of raptor education ambassadors at 黑料不打烊, prioritizing welfare, choice, and natural history in their care and training. In 2018 she became a Certified Professional Bird Trainer through the International Animal Trainers Certification Board, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Avian Trainers and Educators.

Kelly joined 黑料不打烊 in 2025 as the 黑料不打烊 and Family Programming Coordinator. Previously, she was a STEM Educator and 黑料不打烊 Manager at the Montshire Museum of Science, and a Yoga Teacher with specialty training in accessibility, trauma-informed practices, and childrens yoga. During Kelly’s free-time she can be found on a hiking trail with her dog Mick, gardening, snowshoeing, doing DIY woodworking projects, and practicing yoga, all while singing along (out of tune) to Motown classics.

Laurie is originally from Boston, MA where she was a senior lead teacher for 27 years at a preschool on a working farm. She received her BA in Psychology and her MSW in Clinical Social Work from Boston College, and later her MEd in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College. She comes from a family of educators steeped in a deep appreciation for the natural world and she has been active throughout her life in all aspects of outdoor learning, both personally and professionally. Laurie is also a professional musician, bringing her love of music and puppetry to children and adults. She came to 黑料不打烊 in September 2021 and has been teaching Small Wonders and Wee Wonders lessons in area schools as well as coordinating the 黑料不打烊 Field Trips program. In addition to writing and performing music, Laurie loves gardening, hiking and cooking.

Kelly is a nature-inspired artist and experienced educator who has taught visual arts across diverse settings for nearly three decades. After earning her BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and M.Ed. from Endicott College, she worked as an Education Fellow with Saint Gaudens National Historical Park and Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Park, where she established an Art in the Park program and directed a STEAM camp for middle school students. Her artistic practice spans watercolor, acrylics, murals, and wildlife photography. Since moving to Cavendish, VT in 2009, Kelly has pursued her passion for combining art with nature. She joined 黑料不打烊 in 2024, where she now serves on the School Programs team, sharing her enthusiasm for science with students and teachers.

Sarah has had many roles at 黑料不打烊: she was a camp counselor, a member of the education team giving programs at the Nature Center and handling raptors, and since 2014 she has been leading 黑料不打烊s and Adult Programs.Sarah feels deeply connected to 黑料不打烊, and its camp program specifically, as she can recall being a 黑料不打烊 camper when the organization was at its original site in Woodstock, Vermont. She earned her MS in Environmental Studies from Antioch University New England, where she concentrated on education.  She is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys skiing and snowshoeing in the winter, gardening in the summer, and hiking with her dogs all year round.

Hannah received her MEd from Antioch University New England in New Hampshire, and she is a licensed teacher in both Vermont and New Hampshire. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Education from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and a BA in Biology from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana. Prior to joining 黑料不打烊 in 2007, Hannah was an Environmental Educator at the Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center in Minnesota and the Ferry Beach Ecology School in Maine.
