Next Drawing from Nature Class:
September 19 – Hawks
Join us for an inspiring watercolor workshop where art and natural history come together. Using real butterfly specimens as our reference, participants will explore the beauty, color, and intricate patterns of these remarkable creatures while developing their watercolor painting skills.
This hands-on workshop is designed for artists and nature journal enthusiasts of all experience levels – from complete beginners discovering watercolor for the first time to experienced painters seeking fresh inspiration and refined techniques. Guidance will cover how to use watercolor and pen to capture delicate details and how to achieve perfect symmetry of these elegant creatures.
Working from actual specimens provides a unique opportunity to closely observe the fascinating structures, textures, and markings that make each butterfly species distinct. Along the way, participants will gain a deeper appreciation for the natural world and learn about the beauty and diversity of these important pollinators.
Whether you are passionate about painting, fascinated by nature, or simply looking for a creative and relaxing experience, this workshop offers a welcoming environment to observe, learn, and create. Leave with new watercolor skills, a greater connection to the natural world, and your own butterfly-inspired artwork to cherish.
Drawing, sketching, and watercolor experience are not necessary, all skill levels welcome.
