Join us to celebrate Windsor, Dewey, and V-2 – our resident wild Bald Eagle family! V-2 is thriving and expected to fledge in late July. We want to celebrate this remarkable story with the community of Eagle Cam viewers who made it so special.

Bring a picnic or grab dinner and drinks from and enjoy live bluegrass music from the ! Hear from a panel of experts on the return of Bald Eagles to northern New England, including and . Exclusive Windsor, Dewey and V-2 t-shirts will also be available!

Don't miss this joyful summer celebration of one of nature's great comeback stories. You might even catch a glimpse of Windsor, Dewey, or V-2 soaring over your head from the top of the Tree House on the Forest Canopy Walk!

Scheduled Events:
  • 5:30PM - Party kicks off with music from the Well Kept Men (August Pavillion)
  • 5:45PM - 6:30PM - Panel discussion led by Executive Director Alden Smith, with Jason Batchelder, Commissioner, Vermont Fish & WildlifeÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýMargaret Fowle, Audubon Vermont (Neale Pavillion)

  • Bald Eagles Ask Me Anything -- Swing by the Raptor Exhibits to ask ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Educators any questions you have about Bald Eagles (Raptor Exhibits)
  • Eagle Crafts -- Make your own Bald Eagle from your child's handprint and footprint! (August Pavillion)
  • Tower on the Forest Canopy Walk -- Join a ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Volunteer at the top of the Tower to spot the nest (Forest Canopy Walk)
  • Music -- The Well Kept Men will be playing throughout the evening! (August Pavillion)
  • Food & Drinks -- Enjoy food from Green House Pizza truck, drinks from Cold Hollow Cider Co. and the Pizza Chef Beer Truck (August Pavillion)
  • Merch -- Exclusive Windsor, Dewey & V-2 t-shirts and magnets on sale! (Nature Store)

The Raptor Exhibits and Forest Canopy Walk will be open for this event.

Jason Batchelder

Commissioner, Vermont Fish & Wildlife

Jason Batchelder became Commissioner of the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department in 2025 after more than 22 years with the Agency of Natural Resources. A former Vermont Game Warden and Warden Service Colonel, he also served as Commissioner of the Department of Environmental Conservation.

Margaret Fowle

Margaret Fowle

Conservation Biologist, Audubon Vermont

Margaret Fowle is a Conservation Biologist and Program Manager with Audubon Vermont, leading Priority Bird and Working Lands initiatives. Since 1997, she has coordinated Vermont’s Peregrine Falcon and Bald Eagle recovery efforts while working with landowners to enhance habitat for priority bird species.

The Well Kept Men bring straight up bluegrass to the Upper Valley for music fans of all ages. The band is composed of Josh Cleaver (bass), Eric Faro (guitar), Chuck Horrell (banjo), Mark Sunderwirth (mandolin) and Tanner Wallace (fiddle).
