Forest Storytime
OCTOBER 15 – Join an Educator for our early learner's storytime sessions. We'll read stories, play games, sing songs, and laugh with puppets. Each session will focus on a different topic to learn about animals, plants, or other wonders of nature. This experience is designed to help promote connection, exploration, curiosity, and joy for the outdoors. (For ages 5 and younger).

Woodland Wildlife Walk
Come wander through the woods with us! Not only is ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ home to dozens of exhibit birds, but our 2.5 miles of trails are teeming with a variety of wildlife. Learn to identify the plants that support our diverse fauna, keep your eyes out for signs of animal activity, and, if we’re lucky, perhaps we’ll spot some critters, too!

Saw-whet Owl Banding Demonstration
OCTOBER 15 - Smaller than a softball, Northern Saw-whet Owls are some of Vermont’s most elusive residents. The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Field Research Team invites you to join them for a shift to learn about the banding process and how their work, and that of researchers at hundreds of banding stations around the country, is shedding light on the lives of these secretive birds.

Coffee in the Canopy
OCTOBER 16 - Greet the day high among the treetops on the Forest Canopy Walk at this free, adults-only cultivation series. Before our opening hours, sip coffee and savor fresh pastries as the morning sun lights up the Ottauquechee River and the forest foliage. Enjoy conversation with our Executive Director Alden Smith and ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Staff in a peaceful forest setting.
